26 July, 2015; Patna: The union minister of communication and IT, Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad launched Technoxian 2015-2016 International Robotics league series on july 26 in Cimage college, Bihar. The event was named as “ Digital Bihar- A youth summit on information technology”.
More than 600 students attended the workshop. “There is an immense scope of progress in the field of information technology in Bihar. This sector needs more people with versatality and potential and Bihar is not short of such students”, said Mr. Neeraj Aggarwal, the director of Cimage college.
This was the first workshop of IRL out of 18 scheduled to be held in PAN India. Succeeding which, prelims round in ten different location will be carried out and winning teams of these rounds will be invited to complete IRL Grand Finale to be held at New Delhi-India on May 2016.
During the workshop, the students got a chance to showcase their robotic models. There was also a three-days workshop held in the college by IIT-Delhi in association with All India council for robotics and automation. Many students were praised for many different form of robotics such as robo-war, robo-soccer and controlled robo.
Apart from robotics, under digital Bihar competition; websites and android apps for the upliftment of the people of Bihar were also showcased. More than 100 services could be benefited from the above mentioned websites and applications.
